Hudson House launches in Chicago

There’s a new production company in town.

Today, Hudson House, a Chicago-based team, announced their official launch. The company brings together a team of film industry professionals to offer a streamlined process with strong visual identities to individuals and companies alike.

Co-founded by cinematographer David Hughes Jr., director / producer Heston Charres, and freelance editor Michael Ray, the new house hopes to make an impact on Chicago from both a narratively and commercially.

 

 

The group describes themselves as visual artists and film professionals who are bringing together their diverse set of experiences, members of the Hudson House guide visions from music videos, commercials and feature films in order to create an experience that is streamlined with stunning results.

The company’s first project, a web-series called, Code-Switched, is a comedy drama about a group of South Asian Americans juggling work, love and family in Chicago.

Created by director Karan Sunil and produced by Charres, the series’ pilot was well received, earning three awards and seven selections to festivals nationwide as well as 400,000 plus views to the show’s trailer.

 

 

The Hudson House team and Sunil will begin principal photography on the rest of season one late in January 2018.
