Havas creative’s Bikedesk inspires biking to work

The Bikedesk

Havas Worldwide’s senior art director Scott Rench will be riding his #BikeDesk around town during Chicago Bike to Work Week, to inspire downtown professionals to ride their bikes and explore the city sights as they pedal to their office desks.

Rench read a recent Redfin survey that cited Chicago as one of the six most bikeable cities in the U.S.   This timely piece of knowledge inspired the ad exec to create his custom-made bike-desk – an office desk positioned over the handlebars and front wheel of his bike.

Rench says he created #BikeDesk to remind people “to slow down and be a tourist in our amazing town — whether commuting to and from work or even during your lunch hour.”

To launch the campaign, Havas made a video of Rench’s travels from his front door to his office on Grand Ave. as example of much fun a commute like this can be.
