Sarofsky hires EP Steven Anderson to boost spot work

Erin Sarofsky’s five-year old design, concept and production company —  the only one in Chicago that Hollywood calls on to create titles for blockbuster movies — is aiming for more business closer to home, namely commercials.

To help achieve that goal, Sarofsky last month brought aboard long-time agency producer, Steven Anderson, as its new executive producer.

With Anderson leading the production staff, says Sarofsky, “We can offer even more as brands and their agencies seek to set themselves apart in their high profile marketing campaigns.”

The advertising industry, says Anderson, “is where most of my experience has been. The main part of my career was a decade producing for FCB.  I was head of production for Hy Connect, and freelanced for a while.” then was a senior producer at Tris3ct.

Anderson was senior producer at Tris3ct for a few months, he says, “when this opportunity came up to work with Erin and the company.  I couldn’t miss it.

Erin Sarofsky“There’s such a unique perspective here, the way we treat the work, with such deep creative exploration. Because Sarofsky is a collaborative studio, I like that the producers work side-by-side with the artists.”

Just finished were spots for Capital One for DDB and Mike’s Hard Lemonade for Tris3ct.

Sarofsky employs 15 full-time and 10 current freelancers. Last November Sarofsky moved into West Loop loft space that was designed by the award-winning Seattle architectural firm of Olson and Kundig.  A year was spent in construction and another six months in decorating and furnishing the facility.

Sarofsky has produced titles for Marvel Srudios’ “Guardians of the Galax,” that was crowned the year’s top grossing movie, with $500 million in global sales to date.  The company has created main titles for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Brooklyn Nine Nine,” “Shameless,” “The Killing,” “Ghost Whisperer” and many others.
