Schafer Condon Carter’s (SCC) officially launched its “ala carte content creation studio,” MAKE247, offering video, animation, motion graphics and photography to brands that seek specialized multi-platform, social media content.
“The explosive need for brand content is here to stay and we have an incredible amount of talent and resources that have been doing killer work for our AOR clients,” says SCC co-founder Tim Condon.
Heading MAKE247’s wide-ranging seven-person staff of shooter/editors, animators and a cache of cutting-edge 4K and HD equipment are Leroy Koetz, SCC’s longtime, multi-award-winning executive broadcast producer/director and Katerina “Kat” Bizios, a former freelance producer, who was hired to serve as client engagement and production management.
While the agency has created social media content for its own clients, MAKE247 officially became an entity in January when it signed Portillo’s as its first client.
“Portillo’s is a great example of a brand that will realize incredible value with this streamlined approach,” says Koetz. “We’ve gotten very adept at cranking out high quality content that’s social platform-ready.”
Condon says the agency has been “hearing from other brands that have a need for content but didn’t necessarily need an ad agency. Our group comes in, almost like a SWAT team with content for social media.
“We believe that deploying this as an independent offering will create a lot of opportunity beyond AOR relationships,” Koetz adds.
Bizios’ take is, “The creativity and inventiveness among MAKE247’s team members and what they are capable of producing on a daily basis is truly awe-inspiring.”
The new SCC division occupies space on the second floor in the historic building that the agency owns at 1029 W. Madison, in the West Loop. Condon foresees MAKE247 expanding quickly into its own space in a separate nearby building that the agency might acquire.
