How to submit a press release Simple criteria. We welcome news about Chicago-area businesses—starting, new personnel, product lines, expansion—all kinds of film projects, out-of-town productions shooting here, personal awards and honors, and upcoming events.

Read some ReelChicago stories for a feel for the content we provide.

Send via Email. Please do not send the release as an Adobe attachment. Don't worry about form or style or length, but do use lots of paragraphs to make it easier for us to read.

At the top left, provide your name, company, contact phone number and Email address.

Give us complete details. For a production, include the project's title, producer, director, writer, stars, and key persons working on the film, budget, locations, type of image capture, editing format, who scores original music, any new techniques devised during production, and your signed or planned distribution.

Tell us about yourself—where you are from, educational background, previous experience, successes, awards. Close with address, phone, email and Web site address.

Attach photos to the Email. Send several production photos, including a good one of you (sans sunglasses, face in shade or peering into a viewfinder) and captions to explain the photos.
