Digital Cinema Society to hold 4K status presentation

VER Digital Cinema’s first event since purchasing Fletcher Cameras is a May 19 meeting of the Digital Cinema Society Chicago about fast moving 4K technology at Fletcher Cameras’ former space at 1000 N. North Branch. 

Cinematographer and DCS president James Mathers and Sony’s Keith Vidger will give an in-depth presentation of Sony’s F55 Digital Cinema camera and the status of 4K, followed by shooting in 4K.

Noted local Colorist Tom Rovak will run through the complete workflow, by taking the footage acquired on-site through color correction via Resolve, all the way to projection in 4K.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., presentation p.m.
