Filmworkers’ new colorist returns from an NYC stint

Jeff Altman

FILMWORKERS’ CREATIVE STAFF got a boost with the hire of colorist Jeff Altman, who returns to his home town after two years in New York as a colorist with Color Collective, where he worked on commercials, indie features and digital content.

“Jeff is a star,” says Filmworkers’ Reid Brody. “He’s had an opportunity to work on some great projects (in New York), and he’s really honed his craft. He brings a fresh perspective and energy to color grading that’s been lacking in the Chicago post community. We’re glad to have him as a part of our team.”

Altman’s first Filmworkers project is grading a web campaign for alcoholic beverage Four Loko, with creative from Onion Labs.

A Columbia College 2008 grad, Altman began his career with Filmworkers in 2008, training under Michael Mazur before moving to New York.
