Actor Michael Madsen is slated to star in an indie horror/thriller feature, “Skinned,” to be produced and filmed entirely in Chicago year by Robin P. Murray’s Wild Horses Productions

Shortly, Murray says, he will move from his longtime Missoula, Mont. headquarters and set up his production company in Chicago.

The film is budgeted at $1.75 million, with two-thirds financed to date.

Logline: Natalie Wainwright stages an art exhibit trying to restart her career and escape her past, only to find out that her future is far worse.

“Skinned” is Murray’s second film with Chicago native Madsen. The earlier movie, “Season of Change,” also low-budget, won several top film festival prizes. In addition to producing features, Murray has made documentaries, including several for PBS.

Murray, who co-wrote “Skinned” with Chicago-based Emese Vitalis, will direct.
